An uncle shares with his nephew his growing pains of coming of age without a father in Oakland and San Leandro, California. "I had a lot of anger growing up," Askari said. "I didn't have a father and the relationship I did have with my mother was dysfunctional." He shares wisdom with his nephew about the pitfalls of falling into a life of crime and drugs, his regrets, and ultimately what turned his life around for the better.
