These digital collages were created in September 2005 for a project seeking to visualize a rebuilt New Orleans.
"I'm just trying to send out a vibe of restoration, sustainability, Ancient To The Future...
Almost all of the marsh bits are from southern Iraq - a unique wetland-shi'a culture that Saddam persecuted and drained (literally) into near extinction.
But supposedly they're on the mend now (to some extent, at least). And the sufi-looking folks are apparently a heterodox monastic community with a presence in and around New Orleans..."
