  Joyce Owens

Joyce Owens earned her Bachelor of Fine Arts degree from Howard University in Washington D.C. and Master of Fine Arts degree in painting from Yale University. Ms. Owens has held many arts related positions from arts and crafts director and art teacher to a producer for the CBS television station in Philadelphia. In Chicago she spent eight years at WBBM TV News (CBS2), briefly as a graphic artist, a researcher and a news assistant and for the bulk of her tenure at Channel 2 News she was the Graphic Arts Coordinator. She left WBBM to concentrate on starting a family and her painting. She currently teaches studio painting and drawing at Chicago State University since 1996.
