April Banks is an artist and architect living and working
in Oakland. In 2004 she went on a solo three-month journey
through Ghana, Burkina Faso, Mali and Senegal. She photographed
and wrote about her experience. Her journey was posted
on MoAD's website and her Lonely Planet travel blog was
