A fourth-generation San Franciscan, Adrienne Anderson
has been writing formore than 15 years. She started her
career as an associate editor and contributing writer
for academic journals in San Francisco State University’s
Black Studies Department. She was one of the first writers
to incorporate the rap movementwith academics and use
it in the context ofsocial movement and historical reference.
